AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): With over 40 days having passed since the start of America's third imposed war against Iran, the U.S. president has not only failed to achieve his declared objectives but has also faced a major economic and political challenge in confronting Iran. Today, he can neither prevent Iran's control and dominance over the Strait of Hormuz nor stop the rising trend of energy prices worldwide. As a result, on the fortieth day of the war, he was forced to accept the initiation of political negotiations.
In this regard, Dr. Nabil Mohyeddin, an expert in Middle East affairs and international relations, has written a commentary:
"Just as the White House launched military operations against Iran in late February, the U.S. president gambled on a swift and blitzkrieg-style war—a war that, in his view, should not have lasted more than a week, from which he was supposed to emerge unscathed and victorious. But the reality on the ground quickly shattered these illusions, as it became clear that the U.S. military had fallen into a new quagmire, adding yet another war to America's long list of failed wars—wars that have left the United States exhausted and incapable of continuing."
"After a month of this war's raging, signs of American material and human fatigue became highly evident, bearing a striking resemblance to America's entanglements in Afghanistan and Vietnam."
